Suppose your client gives you a photo of a phone with it’s keyboard expanded and they want you to animate it opening and closing. In a perfect world you have 2 images. One of the phone and one of just the keyboard. Not today. By using the pen tool to create a very accurate mask we can reveal or hide parts of an image. This will allow us to create 2 independent images out of one.
